Who we are
A living Christian community in Sacramento — simple, sincere, and close to everyday life.
A church where you're known by name
We're a Russian-speaking Adventist community that brings together people searching for God, for meaning, and for a real sense of belonging. Here we speak two languages, we remember names, and we're glad to see everyone.
Our faith rests on three pillars: faith, life, community — the Word of God, real support in everyday life, and warm fellowship.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.”
Psalm 103:1
The journey of our community
It all began in the late 1990s with a small group of immigrants who met as a separate Sabbath School class. Over a quarter of a century, that group grew into a church with its own house of prayer, a choir, children's clubs, and a media ministry watched around the world.
First gatherings
Families of the first immigrants met at the Yugoslavian church and began holding Sabbath School in Russian and Ukrainian as a separate class.
The church is born
The Slavic company receives official status as Sacramento Slavic SDA Church — already 89 members.
New life for the community
With Pastor Roman Tsyganiuk's arrival, the Pathfinders and Adventurers children's clubs came to life, and the church gained its own house of prayer and a media ministry.
Today
A living bilingual community that serves the city, helps Ukraine, and holds on to the hope of Christ's soon return.
